I visited Nandos restaurant on Northcote Rd in Clapham Junction on the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The waitresses were all very friendly and attentive and the food was great. Will definitely be heading back.

I went to the Gaylord Indian Restaurant last night, it's easy to find on Battersea Rise, a short walk away from Northcote Rd and Clapham Junction Train Station. The Gaylord served a very nice curry, I had the Lamb Rezala which definitely had a kick to it! My only complaint was that service could have been a little more friendly. And I'm not too sure about the name!

I visited el Cantara Spanish & Moroccan Restaurant in Soho last week and was very impressed with everything about the restaurant. The waiters/waitresses were all very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, I can highly recommend the Calamares Peqenos and the Tagine Lamb! The whole restaurant is decorated with authentic Moroccan and Spanish imported furniture and ornaments and looks amazing. They even have a gorgeous belly dancer who puts on a great show! Highly recommended!

The Nightingale is a fantastic traditional pub in Clapham South, located a short walk from Clapham South tube station (or even closer to Wandsworth Common overland station). The Nightingale has a few tables out the front and large covered beer garden out the back which is also heated (great in winter!). They also serve food and I can definitely recommend their award winning pies! They have a selection of board games, trivia machines and even a dartboard! If you're in the area and are looking for a nice quiet pub, drop into the Nightingale.

I went back to the Prince Of Wales Pub last night for their pub quiz and dinner. Their menu is very limited as they only serve pizza that I think is provided to them by a nearby restaurant. The pizza was great but I can't say the same for the quiz. It was only 4 quick rounds and very little thought had gone into it.

The Sun is an old favourite in Clapham. Gets ridiculously busy on weekends and is always a good laugh. It's quite a large pub with an upstairs area and a large outdoor area. They have a good selection of beers and ales on tap including some great ciders. Probably the best pub in Clapham Old Town and definitely a good choice for a Sunday night after laying around on the Common all day.

Situated half way between Clapham Common and Clapham South tube stations the Windmill on the Common is a large pub that has recently undergone refurbishment. It's got a lovely interior and is very spacious. They have a HUGE beer garden out the front which pretty much spills out on to the common. Their food is exceptional and their quiz night on a Sunday is always fun and has a good turnout. Highly recommended.

The Rose & Crown is a small pub on the polygon in Clapham Old Town, which is a short walk from Clapham Common underground. I visited on a Monday night so the pub was pretty quiet. I really liked the friendly atmosphere and casual feel to the pub. The Rose & Crown has a small courtyard out the back and plenty of seating inside and out the front.

Quite a small little pub in Clapham Old Town, which is a short walk from Clapham Common tube stop. Look out for the "POW POW POW" lighting up the front facade. All of the walls and ceiling inside the pub are covered with random pieces of tat, kitsch and 'antiques'. They've even got a false limb! Was pretty quiet on a Monday night but has the potential to be a pretty decent place on a Friday/Saturday night.

This place is awesome! Located right on the banks of the Thames, Stein's Bavarian Beer Garden serves large pitchers of German beer and amazing German food. They have a large outdoor seating area which is great on a summer's afternoon. The only bad points are that it's a little pricey and the fact that you cannot just buy a beer you can only drink once you've ordered food.
