WARMINSTER,
Longleat provides an amazing day (or days) out for all ages. There is so much to do there. Just driving in is a spectacle, as you drive down sweeping roads, surrounded by trees, then overlooking the safari park and finally gaining the view of the magnificent house. The best way to see everything is to buy a passport. This allows you entrance to everything once. You may come back as many times as you like during the season to complete it. This gives you access to house and grounds, pets' corner, safari park, boat ride past hippos, gorilla island and sea lions, miniature train ride, mazes, adventure playgound, and so the list goes on. There are kiosks and cafes where you can eat, as well as areas to picnic and shops. As I said, the passport only gets you entry to things once. You'll have to pay to do things again, which is the one issue I have. The passports are not cheap. At other parks, I would expect to have unlimited access for the price. However, there is loads to do - enough to fill several days. Our kids loved the adventure playground (which is the only thing you can access again and again throughout the day). There is a fantastic water play area, so if you have kids - do take either a swimming costume or change of clothes.Great day out!
