Fantastic, rustic

The Helyar Arms in East Coker is probably the most delightful and rustic, village pub experience you will find. Staffed by well qualified chefs and run by friendly staff, the pub is a true haven of tranquility in one of Somerset's most pretty villages. The pub is about 500 years old and is in the oldest part of the village, surrounded by lovely thatched cottages and meadows. It's also really near the village church, and is a great place to have your wedding reception if you marry in the village. The skittle alley to the side of the pub is great - not only for playing skittles, but you can also hire it out as a venue for parties, poetry evenings etc. The Helyar really is one of the best village pub experiences you will find.
