  Our dogs go to Hyver Kennels all the time, at all times Jo and Laura have shown care and attention for my dogs to the point where they don't want to come home! This is not a sterile , 'cleaned to within an inch of it's llife kennels' , rather it is like a country family home where personal care and attention is given and it is small enough to be able to give this. 100% for Hyver !!!

  have been taking our dogs to hyver kennels for 20 years and it is the only place we would ever take our dogs,any problems and the vets are called ,just bought another dog as the last one died at 14 years of age and this one will only go to hyver kennels.

  Have taken my dog to Hyver frequently, always comes back happy & healthy. In my experience they always ask for vaccination records (unless you have been in very recently and they know you are covered!) My friend's dog had a pre-existing condition and they managed very well, she became ill and was rushed to the vet immediately. I would like to point out that the owners' granddaughter often helps out and you can't get much younger than that! Yes the food bowls are left in disinfectant to soak, before they are scrubbed (have witnessed this), and when I have been there the reception looks clean. They are always busy and I know that several vets use them, so I am perfectly happy to entrust them with the care of my dogs!

• hyver kennels - not recommended

  Hello, Our dog stayed in Hyver Kennels –Bath twice. The first time he came back with kennel cough after three days of staying. The problem is that the kennel owner did not ask for his shot records and we offered ours insistently. We really did not find this approach healthy especially after getting a sick dog back. The second time we left our dog for a week (again no control of shot records). Our dog came back with a very serious ear infection. He never had one before. He came back with a dark brown looking ear, full of infection and dried blood in his ear. He was also itching like crazy. When I picked him up, they said he was fine all the time he was at the kennel. How a dog with an ear like this could be fine? We came home and realized the infection immediately. He was also not eating and we are sure that he did not eat much during his stay due to the infection. However, the kennel owner did not recognize it or did anything about it. We were very angry and disappointed. Overall, I would not recommend this kennel to any dog owners. Our other problem is that the reception area you leave your dog is filthy. All food bowls are left in a sink with detergent and they smell. We took our dog since a couple dog owners recommended this kennel. However, we would not recommend Hyver kennels to any dog owners who love their dogs. They are unprofessional and do not really know what is going on with your dog during his/her stay. Whatever you ask, their answer is ‘fine’. This was not the case for us both times we left our dog there. Please be careful!!! Thanks for reading.

  we took our dog twice to Hyver. First time, he came back with kennel cough-even though he had the shot. It might be natural but the problem is that they did not ask for our shot record . we offered to show it. if they are doing it to everybody, then kennel cough is not normal... the second time, our dog came back woth a terrible ear infection. his ear was all borwn and covered with infection. He was itching like crazy. He stayed in the kennel for a week and they did not even recognize it. When our friend mentioned it, they said they have no infection possibility at the kennel. Overall, I think theya re doing a lousy job. when you leave your dog you can also see that all food bowls are in a sink, lokking and smelling horrible. the reception area they use is filthy. when you take your dog back, they do not provide any information how he was during the stay - even though you ask a couple times. I am sorry to say this but i think they need younger staff members. I would not recommendt his place to any dog owners. Thanks for reading.
